Will your inspector see it all? Will he or she convey the information properly?
A great home inspection should paint the entire picture; including descriptions, the positive attributes, the things that need to be corrected right away, and the things that are not so critical that can be done when you have the time to get to them. Also, a great home inspector should be willing to help you get a feel for how costly and difficult any issues may be to correct.
Will your handyman consider what other factors might be associated with a repair or refurbishment? Will he or she go the extra mile to provide a great job?
A great tradesman should think about more than just the task at hand - he should work to deliver you a complete solution and complete satisfaction. He should respect your property, keep it safe and clean while the job is in progress and provide a reasonable guaranty for the work he provides.
